My answers will pale in comparison to Craig's but the numbers may still be staggering.
Staggeringly low, that is:

1. Do you do as much theatre now as in Days Gone By? HA! Right. Since 2003 I've done a show every two years. I'm not due back onstage until 2009.

2. What's the largest number of shows/years you've overlapped without a break?
Actually, I've never overlapped. I did do eight end to end. Which prompts the next question:

3. What's the largest number of shows you've done within a year (either a calendar year or a September through August season)? Four of the eight I did end to end were between Feb 1989 to Dec 1989: Playboy of the Western World, Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Brighton Beach Memoirs, and Broadway Bound. Yeah, not a lot. But I've never been so enamored with theater that I constantly needed a show.

Looking at my own resume, I've done less than 40 shows.

I was just revising my online r?sum? and noted that it was twenty years ago at this time that I directed one of my favorite productions, Mingle, Among the Demons by Christopher Lammerman.

What I also noted was that Mingle opened on February 5. I opened as Richie in Bleacher Bums on February 25

Both shows were for the Ad Hoc Theatre Company in Lisle.

Then I opened as Charlie in The Foreigner (my first Wheaton Drama show) in early May.

So here are today's questions, along with my answers:

1. Do you do as much theatre now as in Days Gone By?
My first answer was "No -- I wouldn't be alive", but then my research to question two kind of changed the answer to this. The correct answer is, "Yes, I do; just not at the moment."

2. What's the largest number of shows/years you've overlapped without a break?
2005-07 - 18 shows. Which might explain why I'm on a break now...

3. What's the largest number of shows you've done within a year (either a calendar year or a September through August season)?
12 shows each in 1981, 2002 & 2003.

Well, i can't compete with our illustrious host. Did lots of theater, but not when compared to Bilko.

Here are my answers, pathetic as they are:

1. Do you do as much theatre now as in Days Gone By? Nope. I haven?t done a show in about 9 years ? not since the aliens took me away in their ship, only to dump me back on Earth when they were done probing my poor white ass.

2. What's the largest number of shows/years you've overlapped without a break?
Overlapped is the right way to put it. I remember rehearsing for one show while finishing performances for another. Largest number: 4 in one year, including a dinner theater production of My Fair Lady. That was a fun time and a great after show orgy. (It?s all true?except for that ?orgy? part. Rats!)

3. What's the largest number of shows you've done within a year (either a calendar year or a September through August season)?
I?m going by memory, here, but I think it was perhaps 5. I know I?ve done 4 ? one for each season, but I seem to recall doing 5 at least one year if not more. And that?s plenty. The rest of you amaze and shock me!!!
